Manfred is Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of infirst Healthcare. Manfred was latterly President of GlaxoSmithKline’s Consumer Health business across Europe, having previously led the North-American and German businesses. He enjoyed 25 highly successful years at GSK and its legacies and has also given long service to industry trade association boards in both the US and Europe. Manfred studied Business and Economics at The University of Cologne.
Andrew joined infirst Healthcare as Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board in January 2013. He is a chartered accountant with more than 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare industries. Andrew is a Physics graduate of Imperial College London and worked at GlaxoSmithKline for over 16 years, in a series of senior financial roles. Andrew started his career at Price Waterhouse Coopers in London.
Jamie is responsible for the management of the infirst Healthcare North American business. Jamie has over 30 years experience in global consumer healthcare and FMCG industries. With a background in marketing communication and consultancy, including with Northstar Partners which he founded, Jamie has provided strategic and managerial consultancy services to a broad spectrum of US and multi-national healthcare companies. He graduated from Williams College with a degree in political economy and has been an active member of his local community’s board of education.
Tony is responsible for marketing and sales-Europe Tony has over 30 years’ experience in international marketing and sales, including OTC and Oral Care categories, with GSK Consumer Healthcare, and Snack food / Ice-cream with M&M Mars. Tony is a graduate in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and also has an MBA from INSEAD. He also was an associate professor teaching post-graduates at a business school in Central London.
Viv is responsible for Regulatory & Medical Affairs at infirst Healthcare. Viv brings over 17 years of successful product registration experience across the respiratory, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal and women's health categories gained in her roles including a 19 year tenure at Procter & Gamble. At P&G Viv acquired valuable knowledge of Regulatory Affairs in both the Consumer Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals divisions. She started her career as a Human Safety assessor for Personal Cleansing and Hair-care products at P&G. She is a graduate in Biochemistry from the University of Surrey, and achieved a PhD in Chemistry from the University of London (Birkbeck College).
Karen is responsible for Drug Development at infirst Healthcare. Karen has over 30 years of experience in leading drug development across a range of therapeutic areas including women’s health, endocrinology, osteoarthritis, respiratory and urology. She began her career in clinical research and has gained broad experience in pharmaceutical development from working with a number of pharmaceutical companies, including 18 years at Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals. Karen graduated from the University of Southampton with a degree in Physiology and Pharmacology and later completed a postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration. She is an honorary fellow of the Institute of Clinical Research and maintains an active interest in training in clinical research.
Before joining Infirst Healthcare Karel had a 23 year career with GlaxoSmithKline and its legacy companies. Being responsible for global external supplies Karel was a member of GSK Consumer Healthcare’s manufacturing and supply leadership team. Prior to that he held various senior positions in procurement and logistics within GlaxoSmithKline. Karel began his career in Belgium in the Chemicals and Automotive sector before moving to Germany and later to London. Karel studied Business Management at the LBC College in Antwerp.
Mary is office manager at infirst Healthcare and manages the daily operations of the company. Mary worked for seven years at London Business School, before moving into the field of private equity, specialising in operational processes for start-up companies. In this role she managed a wide ranging portfolio including cancer vaccines, medical devices, film making and art exhibitions. Mary is a qualified speech and drama teacher, has worked as a professional voice-over artist in radio and television, and holds several accountancy qualifications.
